Error Loading Previous Toolbar Layout
If you receive the message "An error occurred while trying to load your previous Toolbar layout..." from Test Design Studio, it means the layout file used to store Toolbar information has been corrupted.
This file is stored in the following location on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Patterson Consulting\Test Design Studio\Layout\CommandBars\Main.xml
The file is stored in the following location on Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Patterson Consulting\Test Design Studio\Layout\CommandBars\Main.xml
To resolve the issue,
- Close Test Design Studio if it is open
- Delete the XML layout file indicated above
- Restart Test Design Studio
