Object Browser Window is Blank
There are situations where the layout file used to persist the arrangement of panels in the Object Browser window will be corrupted. When Test Design Studio displays the Object Browser Tool Window, there will be no visible content. To resolve this situation, you can delete the layout file used by the Object Browser.
This file is stored in the following location on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Patterson Consulting\Test Design Studio\Layout\ToolWindows\ObjectBrowser.xml
The file is stored in the following location on Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Patterson Consulting\Test Design Studio\Layout\ToolWindows\ObjectBrowser.xml
To resolve the issue,
- Close Test Design Studio if it is open
- Delete the XML layout file indicated above
- Restart Test Design Studio
