Test Design Studio 2.0 (Public Release) Now Available!

We are proud to annouce the public release of Test Design Studio 2.0.  Thank you to all who participated in the pre-release program.  The main product page has been updated with an overview of the new features.  For a more detailed list (including a fun shortcut for '++'), you can check the revision history page.

Important Notes for Test Design Studio 1.6 Customers

.NET Framework Requirements Increased

This release of Test Design Studio requires .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 where the previous release only required v3.0.  You can download the latest release of the .NET Framework from the Microsoft Downloads site.

New Serial Numbers for Activation

Since this is a major upgrade to the product, you will need to use new serial numbers.  Those who have already received a "TDS20" serial number for the Release Candidate can use the same serial number for the official release.  In fact, if you install the Public Release over the Release Candidate, you should not even require re-activation.

If you have not received your "TDS20" serial numbers yet, you will need to request an upgrade by sending an e-mail to licensing@patterson-consulting.net.  Once you upgrade your serial number, you will no longer be able to use your old "TDS16" serial number.  In the e-mail, please indicate if you want to upgrade all of your serial numbers or only a portion of them.  If you are not upgrading all of your serial numbers, please indicate which "TDS16" serial numbers you wish to upgrade.  It is recommended that you request your new serial numbers before upgrading to version 2.0 to avoid any downtime in product availability.  This will also ensure you qualify for the upgrade before converting your software.

Upgrade Eligibility

Everyone with an activate maintenance agreement will receive the version 2.0 upgrade at no additional charge.  All new licenses of Test Design Studio automatically include a one year maintenance agreement.  If you purchased your software on or after Sept 1, 2008, you will qualify for the upgrade.  If you purchased before then, you must have extended your maintenance agreement on or after Sept 1, 2008 to qualify.  You may contact support@patterson-consulting.net if you have any questions about your eligibility.  We have been fortunate that the vast majority of our customers have continued their maintenance when it expired, so chances are good that you will be eligible for the upgrade.
