Add a New File to a Project

Test Design Studio provides an advanced templating feature that is used to add new items to a project. A file must always be added to a project at the root level or under a folder. Within the Solution Explorer tool window, select the Project Node to add the file at the root level or a File Folder Node to add the file under a folder. Then select Project -> Add New Item... from the main menu. The Add New Item dialog will be displayed.

The Add New Item dialog lists the built in and user-defined item templates that are available based on the current project type. The screen shot above shows the templates that are available for a Unified Functional Testing project. Select the file template you want to create and click the Add button. The new file will be generated and stored with your project.
